How to know if you are Over contributing to a Place ?

Points , Levels and badges are fun and we tend to give away some important factors for them .It is time we realize our way of contributions. It was with me , i used to add many photographs to a place and they made no sense apart from the points , but 3 years down the line , i understand things better .

We tend to add lots of picture to a place , which in most of the cases are not required .

If the place has very few photographs , then may be

if you have added the place then may be we will add quite a good number of photos

But isn’t it enough to add few best pictures ?

Here is a beautiful post from @PaulPavlinovich called How-Many-Photos , just go through this to have a fair idea about how many pictures to a place .

I am here to help you calculate an approximation of how many pictures you add to a place .

Open your contributions , and the go to your Master Photographer Badge , Here is a view of it , there you can find the number of photos you have added along with the number of places you have added photos to .

Just look at the volume and the reach

volume divided by Reach will give you a fair approximation , so in my case

(Volume/Reach)=Average Photos per Place ;

(16749/6104) = 2.743 ; => Approximately 3 Photos per place .

I feel this average being less less than 10 is quite fine but after that you need to analyze if you are adding quite too many photos or not .

If your photos are good and helping then the numbers are fine but if they are not then you need to stop adding many and select the best ad add .

Thanks and regards

@NarenChandra Nice knowledge. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I have a question. When you say “over contribute”, you mean number of photos per place, right?

Yes @Ant_Bad_Yogi ,I meant to say that if we share more number of pictures of a place and that are not really needed it will not be helpful, if you are sharing the menu , if they have 100 dishes and you capture all of them and posted then it is completely fine but if we take 10 pictures if the same dish from different angles and post that will be if less help
