Hello @chinyama , the Ratings refer to the places where you only gave a star rating (1 to 5 stars) and did not write a review. So it is supposed to be a low number ( and it is not unusual for high level local guides to have a 0 there)

@chinyama am certainly not an expert yet but perhaps I can share a few tricks I have learnt so far.

  1. Write good and helpful reviews with around 200 words and you will earn good points. By helpful I mean put yourself in the shoes of a new person and think what information you would want or need to know if you were reading the reviews about this place. Don’t just say I love this place for instance, but say why and what you love about it.

2.Add good quality photos and even videos about the place. Include 360 photos if you can and it’s simple you can download the Google Streetview app on your phone. Photos and videos plus a helpful review will earn you good points

  1. Be intentional about growing as a local guide and mentor others in the process. Set goals for yourself, so instance this month I decided to add a new place and review 3 place every month. You can try and organize meetups in your community to teach other people to be local guides and by sharing your knowledge then you grow.

  2. Be active on local guide connect and interact with other people. Make friends and ask questions. This is how I have grown and I think this will help you too.

  3. Have lots of fun while doing all this!

I hope these ideas help!

Congratulations @chinyama

As @JanVanHaver said, it is very difficult to reach the great result of zero rating only.

I flagged Jan’s reply as the solution for your post.

Give information about where you are located so that you can be useful and don’t forget to use photos while communicating with other guides. Take 360-degree photos, make plenty of comments and ask questions. Add new places and give detailed information about these places. Also promotional videos will be useful. Good Work.

@Ashishgarg_lkt the issue you raise has been well answered by @JanVanHaver and @ErmesT flagged it as the solution.

I have also learned from them that low ratings are actually a sign that you are a good reviewer if your reviews are many. As said if you have many ratings you are doing a half job because you just rated and did not give a review of that place just my thoughts

Thank you @chinyama for pointing it out.
