I need some advice on how to get my street edits approved. I live in a city where 80% of the city’s street edits are wrong on gmaps. However, most street edits are discarded by the Google system.
welcome to local guide connect @Dighas Hope you find answers and solutions to your questions.
Hello @Dighas welcome to the Local Guides Connect community.
regarding:
To put it very briefly: You are not alone, getting frustrated, because many road edits either are rejected or it takes a long time to be accepted. If you search here in Connect for “road edits”, you’ll find many comments stating the same.
Some users, including myself, noticed an advantage when starting with very short pieces of a road, but there is no guarantee.
Anyway, I tag @MarcoDavoli and @SholaIB , the “champions of road edits”. Very likely, they can tell you more.
Hello @Dighas, you may also read Lost or Rejected 25% of my Roads Edit - TRAC. Personally, I always lost more than 25%
Hello @Dighas, do you get any edits approved at all? I find if you go back to the approved ones and work closely to that area, there is a bigger chance of more approvals following.
Ciao @Dighas ,
@WilfriedB (thanks for tagging me) is perfectly right and hit the right point: 1) Nothing to do with this 2) Start to do really short roads.
I saw that you started recently and now you are at 12 added roads. If you want to see your approval increasing you must be really constant in your edits and be concentrated in one area at a time.
To give you an example of what is happen to me:
I’m at 120.000 added roads , for months I was at an average of 150 approval per day. I stopped editing for 8 days and now my average is 1 or 2.I’m sure I’ll need more than one week to recover and be at my traditional value.
As % rate of edits vs approval now I’m close to have 83% of approved roads.
If have time have a look at: this post about approval
If you want you can join our great TRAC CHAT GROUP on telegram where we discuss about all this kind of issue or technique about editing.

Take care
