How to have a great time Ljubljana

Reading time about 1-2 min

You asked yourself how to have a great day in Ljubljana ?

I will give you the perfect suggestions how to plan the day right, and which apps are useful, if you

are alone!

  1. Be a early bird. Because if you are one of the first, you have the castle mostly for your own.
Which castle do i mean ?
Of course the Ljubljanski grad. The view is amazing. You can a have coffee, visit the art gallery and if you are interested in history, its also not missed out.

  2. Are u hungry? Maybe you didn’t buy something from the supermarket and wants to have a good breakfast.
I suggest going the Cajna Hisa. Its nearby the castle and they have cornflakes, too. Mjam!

  3. Now you are full and have the energy to visit every corner near the river Ljubljanica. Start from the cobblers brigde

and go slowly until you end up at Zapornica na Ljubljanici. You didnt see the other site yet? Go back!

  1. Time for lunch! Where to go? Eat Horse Burgers at Hot Horse

While you waiting for your burger, I suggest, take your time for downloading the couchsurfing app!
Meet other tourists or locals and enjoy discovering the city together.
Go to the Tivoli Park. Its a little bit far away. 20 minutes by feet, but worth it.

  1. You are still hungry? Cant believe that, or do I ?!
Go to Pizzeria FoculuS. Take the pizza with you and sit by the river. Maybe you have some wine from the supermarket
and those cheap plastic cups? Chill out. Leave the area as clean as you found it. Enjoy Ljubljana.

Thanks for joining Local Guides Connect and for your first post here!

Are you from Slovenia?

I really enjoyed reading your post about what would be the best places to visit and where to eat in Ljubljana. I think you mentioned very good places and I can see there are also other Local Guides here on Connect who liked the Foculus pizzaria. I’ve been to Ljubljana castle and I would definitely visit Slovenia again.

Reading these 14 helpful tips for using Connect and the 5 core values on Connect will help you to participate and interact better here. I would like to invite you to introduce yourself in our monthly topic.

P.S. You are welcome to post here in the language you prefer.
