How to format text in list description?

I’m working on a new list and ran into the problem that the formatting of new line and new paragraph are stripped.

Is there a usable workaround?

I’m considering to make a nicer formatted text document and then link to it from the list description. But a quick test showed that html links are also stripped.

Any help or suggestions would be highly appreciated.

There is not a formatting tool for the list @MortenCopenhagen

Like for the reviews, you can only add your text, without formatting anything.

You can read Create a list of places for the whole procedure, but I believe you already know that.

BTW, why not suggest an improvement on Idea Exchange?
