2020年のさっぽろ雪まつりは終了しましたが、雪まつりの楽しみ方について問い合わせがあったので、来年たくさんの海外の人が雪まつりを楽しめるように楽しみ方について説明します。
The Sapporo Snow Festival in 2020 has ended, but we have been inquired about how to enjoy the Snow Festival, so we will explain how to enjoy it next year so that many foreigners can enjoy the Snow Festival.
今回はメイン会場の大通り公園の楽しみ方を昼間、夜間、食べ物と3つに分けて説明します。
This time, I will explain how to enjoy the main venue, Odori Park, in three parts: daytime, nighttime, and food.

最初に雪まつりのパンフレットを貰いましょう！
Get a snow festival brochure first!
会場には、ボランティアベストを着たボランティアスタッフが多数いるのでその人達から外国語対応のパンフレットを貰いましょう。これを手にしただけで雪像の、説明、配置、アトラクションの予定、飲食屋台などの情報が分かります。
At the venue, there are many volunteer staff wearing volunteer vests, so let’s get pamphlets for foreign languages from them. With just this, you can find information about the snow sculpture, including its description, layout, attractions, and food stalls.

雪像は大中小とありますが、どれも制作模型にそって精巧にできているので制作技術の高さがわかると思います。また、アニメとのコラボ雪像も多数あるのでお気に入りのアニメキャラクターがあるかもしれません。
Snow sculptures are large, medium, and small, but they are all elaborately made according to the production model, so you can see the high level of production technology. There are also many snow sculptures that collaborate with anime, so you may have your favorite anime character.

日本人は恥ずかしがり屋が多いので外国人に話しかけられても返事に困ってしまう人が多くいます。なのでボランティアスタッフに質問しましょう。ボランティアスタッフは外国語に興味があったり外国人とコミニュケーションを取りたい人が多いので気軽に声をかけてください。
Many Japanese are shy, and many people find it difficult to respond to them even if they are spoken to by foreigners. So ask the volunteer staff a question. Many volunteer staff are interested in foreign languages or want to communicate with foreigners.
2 夜間の楽しみ方
2 How to enjoy at night time
夜間は綺麗にライトアップされた雪像を楽しみましょう。昼間とは違いより立体的に見えます。
At night, enjoy the beautifully illuminated snow sculptures. It looks more three-dimensional than in the daytime.
夜間は冷え込むので必ず防寒対策をしましょう
Be sure to take measures to prevent the cold as it gets cold at night.
プロジェクションマッピングを楽しもう！
Enjoy projection mapping!
夕方からそれぞれの雪像で5分くらいのプロジェクションマッピングが開催されます。ナレーションは日本語ですが素晴らしい映像が見られます。
From the evening, projection mapping will be held for about 5 minutes with each snow sculpture. The narration is in Japanese, but you can see great images.
