How to edit the name of villages!

Hey Community ,I as a local guide who hails from the south india and to be exact from the State of Karnataka,I have born and brought up in rural village called " Kannahatti" and along with this name many other village names are not proper / not correct if you check this out on Google Maps.

I have added new places and many people if my village are happy to see the place on Google and also people started to visit the place but many of them asked why the name is not correct ? Can you able to change it But I have tried contacting your team of Google maps and also the Local guides but haven’t get any response for ny email , twitter and also for instagram message ) queries.

There is no option on maps to edit the name but can anyone tell me how can I change it even if it requires proper documentation I can produce it for the proof.

If not many villages name will be pronounced wrongly now and in future.

I know its a new thing and long process but if anyone did change the name of the village or any one from the team ,tell me the steps I will follow it.

Thanks in advance

(Please find the image’s where I marked names of the villages which are wrong on maps).

Hi @ChandaneshKC

Thanks for asking. Unfortunately, Local Guides are not trusted to edit such basic elements on Google Maps. Al we can do is submitting feedback together with all relevant documentation.

Use these Steps to send feedback.

Cheers

Morten

Hello @ChandaneshKC

As you already got, we can suggest changes in the names of places like cities or villages, only through the send feedback option.

But first, why do you say the current one displayed in Maps as wrong?
Is it the incorrect scripting of Kannada name?
Or is there any name change through government order?
In any case, along with the send feedback info, you have to provide some documentary evidence displaying the correct name.
