How to contact a Local Guide?

There’s a local guide that left a review about one of my favourite restaurants, and in the review he said that he has the recipe for this sauce that I’ve spent years trying to create! I need to message him and ask him if he’d be willing to share the recipe but I don’t know how to message a local guide…

I’m sorry but to protect the privacy of local guides like you and me this is not possible.

Hello @aashok

To protect privacy, neither the local guides program nor the Connect platform discloses the real identity of any user.

Further, the screen name used in Maps and Connect can be different. However, you can try your luck by typing the Maps name after @slowly and then check whether the user exists with the same name here on connect. However, the chances ate remote.

Additionally, a claimed business can respond to a review. But there is no guarantee that the user will react to that.

In conclusion, protecting privacy is of the utmost importance and there is no direct way to contact a reviewer.
