How to connect 360° photos ? (with new street view mobile app ?)

Hello and sorry again if this has already been asked…

but I have been using the street view mobile app for years now… we encountered all kind of bugs over the time but it usually works anyway

Now today, my street view got updated to the last version, the design is new and nice

I still managed to upload 360° photos like usual, but I can’t see anywhere how do I connect the 360° photos like I used to in the past ? Can anyone explain ? (hoping we can still do that…because I remember reading somewhere that the feature was maybe going to be removed…)

Google ended this functionality (it was quite buggy, to be honest) and left it to third-party software developers to sell software and services for linking spheres. But they also introduced a new setup where video can be uploaded and automatically converted into blue streetview lines.

Also, From November 20, 2020, the support for the Street View Trusted Photographers is no longer active in Local Guides Connect.

You can visit the new Street View trusted Help Center with your issue.

You should have access to the new site. If not, please let us know.

Indeed it is. Shameful from Google to remove free tools and promote paid third-party software instead as they get a part of the money behind.

However you can still go back to the old version, at least for now. Click on you profile picture on the top right and you’ll see the option right there. This allows you getting back the useful tools that stops this app from being useless. The other way is to simply download an old version and never update but this may not work indefinitely.

I am pretty sure I have a software to that do the connecting part on my computer somewhere … but now that i am used of doing everything on the mobile app, it is indeed a pity to change everything now after offering the feature for free for years…

I don"t know what’s the exact reason of that change on the mobile app …but you are maybe right…it is maybe for money…
