It is with an old name now and need to be updated.

Name of a city,town,river etc are all elements of the maps layer(Or base map information)which is beyond the scope of a local guide like you and me. Nevertheless you can report or send feedback to the team about this
you can report this Problem In Google Maps with send feedback option. You might also need to attach a screenshot of the problem etc. I suppose it still also depends on approval or the team accepting your suggestion like other edits.

Or you can seek help with this in the Maps support forum.
Hit the Community tab at the top and make a post. You need to attach or link to official documentation supporting the change you are proposing. Copyright-free governmental maps are probably the best proof you can attach.
Without such official documentation, you will not be successful.
