Can anyone please tell me how to apply for a local guide badge.

Please check out this welcome card by a fellow contributor Shola.

So if you’re talking about local guides badges that are in your contributions profile, you need to complete challenges that are displayed there. For instance take pictures, videos or edit the map!

If you’re talking about the badges here on connect you get those for giving/ receiving likes, writing posts, number of solutions or even special challenge badges once in a while.

Hello @Gyanivarm ,

There is no such application to become eligible for any reward/physical badge. Time to time Google may send mailer to LG on a random basis for such reward as a thank you gesture for contributing quality content on Google Map. By virtue of being at any level of LG, we are not entitled to get reward or ask the claim. However, keep on contributing quality contents you may get such reward when it is open for your country but that is not guaranteed.

Moreso, we contribute because of our sere passion to help the community if some reward comes in a way, it’s good and we all love that but keep contributing without any expectations other than your passion.

Local Guides are notified through email in case they are eligible to redeem such reward. Request you to please ensure your email preferences to have Rewards enabled through your Local Guides settings.

Lastly, please move your post from ‘Achievement’ to ‘How-tos’.
