So I wrote a review on Google Map and I am unable to reply to the owner in the comment. Can someone explain, if replying to comments under your review is allowed?

You cannot respond to the owner reply and start a conversation on a review, @SanaC
What I do in this case is to edit my review, and it works, or at least it worked on my case.

I don’t think you can reply back to the owner who has replied to your review.
All you have got to say about the business or the place can go into the review. You may edit the review if you want.
The discussion stops after the owner has responded to your review in my observation.

There are multiple ways to respond to feedback by the owner of a place
Editing the original review by adding postscript. But the owner may not get any notification of that.
Since the owner has responded that means the place is claimed and you may find the contact details. However, responding through that may expose your identity.
Also for the claimed places, messaging through Maps may be turned on. You can make use of that to converse with the owner. That would be a safer means to protect your identity.

My understanding @SanaC is that when we write reviews we maintain anonymity but I have seen many times where the business owner will seek to communicate with you and provide contact details. For example, you may have had a terrible experience and the owner wishes to find out and understand why and may offer you some sort of makeup! I have had this in one form or another but I prefer not to engage with owners in any way.

Is it not possible for Google Local Guides to allow us to answer a response? Sometimes the owner will ask a valid question after the review and it seems so outdated to have to edit the review to be able to respond.
