How to Add video in Google Maps

Hi Now we can add a 10 sec live video or 30 sec pre saved video to Google Maps.

Follow the steps to share Video to Google

  1. Open Google Maps
  2. Search the location
  3. Tap on Add photos
  4. Click Camera to take a 10 sec video (or) add a video from your mobile phone gallery and click ok.

Now you can see your video published in Google Maps.

Add a photo or video from a place’s page

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps app .
  2. Search for a place or tap it on the map.
  3. From the bottom, tap the place’s name or address to see more info.
  4. Tap Add photos. You might have to scroll down to see this.
  5. Choose what you want to do:
    • Choose a photo or video from your gallery: Tap Folder.
    • Take a new photo: Tap Camera tap the shutter.
    • Take a new video: Tap Camera tap and hold the shutter for up to 10 seconds to record a video. To remove a video’s sound, tap the sound bars on the bottom right.

Note: You can add media for points of interest, like businesses or parks, but not for addresses or coordinates.

Is there a way to do this on iOS? I don’t see those options and when I tap the camera and hold the shutter nothing happens.

In gallery my mobile videos are not visible(was not shown) in the list. i cant able to add videos.

Hi Google Map Team

there is no option in IOS devices in google map app for upload videos so kindly add this feature as soon as possible

Hi Google,

Everytime I try to upload a video it tells me there is an upload error. I am following the instructions you have described but it is still not working.

I am having exactly the same problem, tryed to paste it from PC or from google photos cloud - still same error
