Hello Fellow Local Guides
I think there is a post on how to add missing road, but my experience it is an entire road network from the lowlands to the mountains, it is a new road network traversing several communities deep within the mountains. I tried driving to this road leading to our city but google maps redirects me to a more popular road when i checked on google maps the road is unknown. How do I record this and add it on Google maps? Some parts by the way have zero internet data signal.

@VincePH Personally for me, there could be 2 scenarios to help get new roads into Maps.
- If when we look at Satellite view in Maps, we can actually see the image of the road, but not present in Maps data. Then we can just use the Send Feedback > Missing Road
as detailed in this link. Google will refer to satellite image to add the road.

- If the image of the road is not present in satellite view, then it becomes a bit more difficult, because there is no reference to refer, when approving/creating the road
For this case, I would usually recommend using the Send Feedback > Your Opinion about Maps
as detailed in this link. Here we can include as much information as we need, even a link to a file in Google Drive like a drawing etc. Google will then decide whether to add or not after reviewing.

Hope this helps.

Hi @StephenAbraham
Thank you so much for this, i do think there are roads via the satellite view but will double check, I am not sure though if the road network is complete, i will do another pass in this area and check. I might do both 1 and 2 in your suggestions.
Again thank you so much

Hi
This is in relation to my question above, i was exploring the upgraded Google maps and when I got to my contributions and the breakdown of my contributions I saw this “roads added” does that mean we can add roads now? If so how? And if not does that mean we get our points from sending data of new roads via feedback?
