I understand that Adding photos to a Map List is possible while creating a Map List from Mobile, whereas the facility is NOT visible in Desktop? That is, while creating a New LIST, in Desktop / Laptop, we can add places and description - but not getting an option to add Photos.
I am trying to help a group of LGs to apply for the Connect Live 2020; this question is in connection with the same.

I hope I will be answering this question correctly, when creating a list you require a list:
This is the requirement, to add photos, you can only add photos to these locations separately using the skills we already have to when doing contributions as local guides. Currently there is no option to add a photo on a list, not on mobile and not even on desktop or laptop.
If you are looking to add this feature on a list, you can suggest this in Idea Exchange so that the local guide team can look into it. For now, follow this tip on Your guide to creating lists on Google Maps.

For your info, “Adding Photo feature is very much available in Mobile” (Checked many times, including today, in Android, at least in India) - However, this feature, I could not find in LAPTOP or DESKTOP.

As per my knowledge and understanding you want to add photo to the newly created list on Google map in laptop. If you’re not able to understand via link provided previously so here is the step by step solution :-

Adding a photo on a list is actually possible “on mobile only”, and the procedure is well explained on the help page: Create a list of places

@TravellerG there is also other list-related things you can only do on mobile devices: adapt the order of the place on the list (which you need if it is important if you want the places to be sorted in a particular order, e.g. because they are part of a route you want to show). The Lists feature is clearly conceived as a ‘mobile-first’ thing.
Hi @MortenCopenhagen it’s possible to add photo from mobile phone only not by laptop/desktop.

I have confirmed what you mentioned, I have confirmed that you can not add a photo on a list, but you can select or choose a photo from that particular business or location to represent the business on your list, you are not adding a photo to the list. @InaS can you please confirm with me this. Choose Menu is available only on Mobile & Not in Laptop/ Desktop.
If you create a Map list in Laptop, the DEFAULT photo is added Automatically - you need not add any.

Hi @TravellerG thank you for mentioning this, from your tittle of the post, it is correctly stated that is about adding a photo of a place on a Map list, there is nothing like that, unless you can share a screen short of what you talking about and we can all better understand, we should not mislead others, we can only '‘Select a photo for each place on the list’’ from the existing photos as stated from the link shared by @ErmesT here when you click where it is written Complete your list, if this is what your post is about, please edit your tittle to match what your post is about which is selecting a photo not adding a photo.
