How to add old visits?

I have been notified by Google about all the trips I have taken in one year, and also a summary of previous years. Which countries, cities and territories I have visited, and the amount of distance I have traveled.

There is something I want to know, namely: is it possible to add some places that I visited before I connected my device with Google five or six years ago.
If possible, how? Thanks.

Yes, you can always add old visits as long as you share your genuine experience @fafaguru

Still, you need to omit some details which would not be relevant.

However, to do that, you need to remember the correct POI. Nevertheless, that’s not difficult as you can easily recognize a famous POI.

Thank you very much @C_T

Is it making new reviews, add photos or what?

Yes, you can add reviews and photos also @fafaguru

Nevertheless, I find your question slightly confusing.

If your intention is to create a new POI based on your visit in the past, that’s not welcome.

The POI may have been created already or may have vanished.

In short, if add means, create a new POI - then no.

If that means posting photos and reviews, then yes. However, at the correct location.

Hi @fafaguru , Thanks for reaching out. Yes, you can add old or missing places in your timeline. The timeline is visible just for you, so it will not imply in your contributions to Google Maps. To do it, please click on the Hamburger Icon (3 vertical bars) on the left of your Google Maps App, then click on “your timeline.” So, please click on the three vertical dots on the right side of your app and “add a place,” then you’ll be able to select the time and the day of your visit. If you prefer, you can choose the day first by clicking on “today” in the center of your app and then “adding a place” by clicking on the vertical dots.

I hope that it can be useful.

Cheers,

Alexandre
