Hi @Fabriz10 if you want to see all of your contributions, the only way to do it easily is to go to your timeline and find the day(s) you went to the place. This is not easy if you’re a major contributor. I sometimes worry about contributing duplicates because I’m not sure if something uploaded the first time or not. They appear in the timeline on the day of your visit (the day the photo was taken) not the day you add them.

There is at least one idea about improving this in Idea Exchange. Go vote for it.

Hi @Fabriz10 ,

As @PaulPavlinovich mentioned you can check them from your contributions and then go to photos. If you any other idea you’re welcome to submit it to the Idea Exchange. Idea exchange is a place on Connect for Local Guides to share their feedback and ideas with our team to tell us about a way to improve the Local Guides program. To learn more about the Idea Exchange, you can read this article How do I use the Idea Exchange?.

P.S. I relabeled your post to How-tos, as it fits better there.

Hi @Fabriz10 ,

If I understand your question correctly, you are looking for a way to look up all the photos you contributed for a specific place without having to sort through other photos for the same place in the Maps listing?

There are several ways to do this, but I find the two most useful methods are: 1) using the “Photos” tab in the “Your Contributions” section of Google Maps, and 2) using the “Profile” tab in the Street View app (panoramas only though). And as one of the Moderators commented, you can also find photos of places you have been by clicking on “My Places” in the Google Maps main menu, then the “Visited” tab. This last option is a bit hit and miss in my experience though and I don’t use it much.

Your photo contributions in item 1) can be sorted by date, and will show all your regular photos, panoramas and videos for each location where you have contributed. See the screenshot below. If you click on the header it will take you to the review you wrote of the place (if you wrote a review), and if you then click on the “Place Details” it takes you to the maps listing where you can see all the photos from everyone as well as all the reviews and other details of the place - including your photos. This actually works quite well for me when I need to know about all the photos including panos that I have contributed for a specific place or location.

The Street View app is pretty spectacular in a number of respects for 3d photos and underappreciated in my opinion. It is possible to look up your 3d contributions on Google Maps which makes it so easy to see what you have submitted and where. It also allows you to manage the location of individual panos and connect 3d panoramas (aka “tours”), but it won’t show you any individual 2d photos that you may have also taken - unfortunately. This would probably be the holy grail for what you seek, maybe Google will add that feature in the future. However, I still find it very useful when I’m working with the 3d photos I contribute.

Hope this helps, and happy photo hunting!

Charlie

Thanks @user_not_found but i think you didn’t understand well my question.

I need a way to check the map, click on a place where i wrote a review, and see my all my medias uploaded for that place. Actually it’s only possible do this from chrome desktop, browsing the review and click on the “title” of the place, il will be open a page with your review and all the content, but i don’t like this solution because you have to manually browse all the reviews, if you have hundreds it’s very complicated, and then it’s possible only from the desktop version of google maps.

It’s should be very simple add a link in the detail page of the place with all the media content uploaded…so i can browse the map, select the place, and then browse all my media uploaded

Hi @Fabriz10 ,

The method I described in option 1) works the same way in both Chrome on a desktop and Google Maps on a mobile device. But it is one way only - e.g. you have to find the photos for the place by scrolling down a list sorted by date, and that takes time and diligence.

You are right, I may have missed your questions’ intent. You want to start from the other end - e.g. look up the place on the Map and see all your photos (medias) that you submitted with a Review that you contributed for that place.

This is actually very easy on both Chrome and the Google Maps mobile app. Assuming you are signed in to your Google account, you can find the place on Google Maps; in the Maps listing for that place your Review will be listed right after the Review Summary at the top/start of “All Reviews” (see the screen shot below); if you click on your review, it will open and display your Review in full and all the photos (medias) you submitted with that review. You then also have the option to edit and change both review and photos (medias). It is functionally the same with both Chrome desktop and the mobile device Maps app.

My point was that if you submitted photos that were not included in a Review - for example, via the Street View app - then these would not be included in your Review photos. But if all you are interested in is the Review media that you submitted, then the above should fulfil that objective.

Best of luck in your quest,

Charlie

Thanks @user_not_found for the detailed answer, but in my chrome version and app it’s not possible click in “Your Review”.

which os use ?

Hi @Fabriz10 ,

I am using Windows 10 and my mobile is a Pixel 2 from Google.

In Chrome there should be “More” at the bottom of your Review to allow you to see the whole thing, and below the Review there should be “Edit” to allow you to edit your Review. In Android you can just tap on your Review and the whole thing should display, and there should be three dots to the right side of your LG name that will allow you to edit or delete your Review. But this is all pretty basic as any review will show any media that the author published with the review he/she made. The only difference is that you can edit yours but not someone elses. See the screen shot below. In addition to the screen shot of my review for lester’s Diner in Ft Lauderdale, Florida, I scrolled down the other reviews until I found other who had submitted photos (media) with their review.

However, your response made me wonder what it might be on other equipment, so I checked Google Maps on my iPad 2 and low and behold, although my review was listed on a place (Lester’s in this example) there were no photos included in the review and no way to edit the review (which would allow me to see see/manage them). This may also be the case on iPhones or other manufacturer’s equipment, you may be out of luck. Perhaps someone else who reads your post that’s using something other than Windows and Android will be able to help you.

Best of luck,

Charlie

Under the review i don’t see all the images but only that selected by google, actually i don’t find a way to see all the media from the detail page of the place.

I’m using Iphone and Macbook, probably the app are different, but it’s very strange that Chrome it’s not identic

Hi @Fabriz10 ,

I suspect your problem is related to the Apple/iOS platform. The different behavior I described on my iPad2 was using Chrome - and it’s definitely different than the way Chrome works on my PC and Android phone.

Just a suggestion, there may be a workaround. You can use an Android emulator on your MAC and load up the mobile device Google Maps I think. I have been doing this for the Street View app and it has worked surprisingly well. I suspect that may be the case with GM too which if it does would give you the “Android experience” and all that comes with that on your Mac. Check out my other post which has the descriptions and links HERE. It might be worth a try.
