And today, not only in Nepal but also all over the world in Buddhism community his birthday has celebrated with great honor and full of respect spreading his enlightened almighty messages to the entire world.
@desi1 Yes exactly, This day is celebrated as âBuddha Jayantiâ and also âSwan Punhiâ from the Local Community of Kathmandu Valley, where Swan means Flower and Punhi means Purnima.
@Mr_Prach@desi1 , It is the most significant religious festival in Sri Lanka as well - for that matter in all Buddhist countries. Please see my post about the celebrations in a small temple in Melbourne yesterday⌠@Mr_Prach has seen this of course.
@Mr_Prach I was there twice actually, Saw Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and took a mountain flight as well. Enjoyed it tremendously⌠was planning a visit to Lumbini, but conditions werenât very good thenâŚ
@Sarath-Ab It was really nice to hear that you have been here in Nepal twice. I wish every obstacles will be as smooth as silky way for upcoming days to visit Nepal once again to fulfill your wish to visit in Lumbini - The Birth Place of Gautama Buddha.
