My name is Kathryn Cobb although I prefer to go by Kathy. I have lived in Colorado Springs since 1985 and cannot see myself anywhere else.
When the opportunity prevails I enjoy the peace and serenity I find when I visit and explore any one of our beautiful and picturesque community parks (and we do have dozens of parks scattered throughout the city).
Being a Google Local Guide is somewhat of a dream come true (at the risk of sounding cliche!). The fact that Google has entrusted me to offer my opinion and experiences in the form of a review, picture and even a video is often times overwhelming as it is such a privilege - I take it very seriously and my additions and/or edits to Google Maps are done with such great pride. What drew me into becoming a Local Guide was my desire to connect with and influence decisions made by other consumers much like myself. Google Maps and being a Local Guide, more often than not, will also encourage local businesses (both big and small) to do the right thing as it relates to consumers. Collaterally, it gives consumers a voice, some recourse and a since of advocacy that is more powerful than one could imagine. I love every facet of the Google Maps platform and it’s enormous capabilities!
Just a little fun fact about me is that, ironically, the movie Internship (or the movie my family and I refer to as “the Google movie”) with Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson is one of my all time favorites!!
