How long does it take for new users to be approved on Local Guides?

My friend wants to sign up for Local Guides and he wants to know how the approval process takes.

Tell him to sign up here with his private Google account here:

https://maps.google.com/localguides/

Next step could be to also join us here on Connect.

Both processes are instant. There is no approval/waiting time.

To earn points and to gain Local Guides levels takes time and depends on your efforts.

There is nothing like approval proces.

If he want to become a local guide tell him to start today, and also join us here. The more he contribute than the more he received… :blush:
