How Local Guide made me more outgoing.

Creativity is not limited to art forms like movies , literature, painting or sculptures. It is there in everything you do and more importantly how you do what you do.

I was never and will never be a foodie. I am big time introvert and enjoy the company of only favorite few. I rarely go out and hardly tell anyone about it.

But local guide has changed some thing in me. At first I was annoyed when asked to review restaurants or parks or markets . It felt like someone is following me everywhere without my permission. But , once I came to terms , I developed a relationship with it. I started by giving a minimal attention ( just give some stars ) and forget about it. Then I started exchanging some words here and there but never got personal. Only recently, I have started enjoying the company. I like to express more , share photos , even make efforts to click good photos to impress it. Once in a while , it would send me an appreciation or a gift and I get delighted and wait for the next local guides message .

But more importantly , I look forward to go out , take along friends , ask for details on ingredients from servers , click food photos at the best angles and lights and to make my reviews more elaborate , sometimes I end up talking to strangers too.

There is no reason to be here , but being here make me feel that I belong somewhere , belong to a community.

Infact , I have started giving value to my own opinion and have developed my own style of personalized review writing which I am proud of.

Thanks to local guides initiative !
