I was a regular map user and I used to feel the person uploading photos and location details may be an employee of Google.
I was always curious to know, how a person sitting inside the office would describe each and every place in my locality, exactly the same about it’s looks, feels. While a few research of mine on this topic related to local posts and pictures help me know their original names behind their user ID. I contacted one of that person and came to know about the posting strategies. And I started posting pictures, reviews and started rating places, there I found on submitting rating and reviews I m getting some points and after posting for few months I was at level 5. Achieving level 5 for me was like, great I am no more a viewer now I am moving ahead on this huge international platform. And there comes a mail for confirmation of contact details for delivery of gift from Google Maps. I filled and submitted the form. After submission of form somewhere in the second week, after returning from office my mom tells me there is a parcel for you, I was not expecting any parcel or courier in that week. And when I opened the parcel it was a note from Google Maps congratulating me for the contributions I made on Google Maps.
It boosted power in me and I started posting pictures, reviews and ratings more and more. And this is how I turned to Level 6, Local Guide from am ordinary viewer.
