Hi everyone i just wanted to tell everyone how i Started My Google Local Guide. I am a Traveler i travel everywhere like Mountains , Forests , Waterfalls , Rivers and So on, in 2017 i was in to Knuckle Mountain Range Which is Srilankas Most beautiful 5 peaks Mountains Range. I went with some of my fellow buddies one of them from the same area where knuckles forest located. So without any fear we started our journey from Wattegama Srilanka. Then we reached the Starting point if knuckles Known as Bambarella. From there my friend also joined with us all together we 6 going. That is one of the dangerous and hardest hike in srilanka. If we are going first time we should have a guide. We didn’t call any guides because my friend tolled he already knew this place. Now we are going first we saw a beautiful waterfall inside the Knuckles Forest we had bath there and we started our journey again. We started our hike around 10.am in the morning until 5.pm we were hiking we found a place to camp so we stopped our 1st day Hike and we camp there. Next day in the Morning 6.00 am we started hike but theres only our turning point starts, its a foggy morning we cannot see anything in-front of us so we ask our friend to go first and we are going behind him. There are paths to everywhere because we can get into the knuckles from several areas those are the ways and only 1 way is to the Mountain Range. So we went around 1-3 hours but unfortunately our path is wrong again we camp back to the same place and we step on to the other path that is also wrong way, my friend he forgot the Route, my goodness there was 3g network i went to google map and looking where i am but its not showing where i am. Shocking an totally disappointed and everyone is afraid where we are right now and where we have to go. Then i marked each and every places as a my favourite places and however after the hardest level we reached the top. We came back to home and still am thinking why srilankas famous mountain range paths are not showing then i just google it then only i get to know. No one has added the place so i should add this place then i started adding my first Place Our Area Masjid with some of the pictures of it. after 2 days it was added successfully now i feel like i have done something very special i ask my friends and families to check the place and photos which i added then i went to my profile it shows me a start then i checked that also with google so i got to know if i add places ill get points and there are levels so after that wherever i go i Review the place add photos, videos if the place doesn’t exist i add the place. In 2018 i went to knuckles mountain range again then i added those places with lots off photos and videos. This is the story how i get in to google local guide. Am very happy to be a Google Local Guide

Thank you for the post. I had visited Sri Lanka a couple of years ago. Took a bus from Colombo to Kandy. Saw the beautiful Museum. Then took a bus to Anuradhapura. Lovely journey, helpful people, beautiful country.
