I really like to travel and explore new things, where Google Maps and the ratings can be really helpful. And I know that these ratings were made by people just like me, and I know that I have the responsibility to take my part in this job, to help other people, just like me.
Everybody is different so the main points are also different if it comes to rating. My main point is that how well the place is doing in it’s own category. 5 stars means totally different thing in a Michelin awarded restaurant and a bistro on a fuel station. But both of them can reach 1 or 5 stars, depending ont he different points. For me the human factor is the most important! How did they treat me? Did they smile? Were they helpful?
Another important thing for me is cleanliness, since hygiene is a most for me. Even in the most cheapest place, clean cutlery and fresh food is expected from me. Of course, I am not rating only restaurants, but also accomodations where I have the same expectations.
To rate an atraction or a famous place is very subjectiv. For me what is important, that it has to give you something and provide the expected experience. If it is only a place to make your wallet lighter, and not providing anything in the other hand I will reduce the numbers of the stars without a hesitation, but in this scenarios I allways provide an explantion.
I do my best to give also written ratings, to explain how was the place, which I hope helps the future guests, and the place itslef to improve, or keep up with the good job.
