The best way to meet success is to plan in advance
I was coordinator of South India LGs community to on its behalf I have hosted my first meetup on June 18, 2016, at Chennai. And I followed the Local Guides guideline on how to hold it. I have printed the manuals in advance to give participants.
By conducting such meetings, I have had the opportunity to exchange ideas and learn about the LG Programme. To train new members to be proactive, I also made guidance available through these meetups.
I plan every meetup is different from one meetup to another meetup. If such cases, I will set the agenda differently to ensure that the participants are eager to attend . The details of such meetups done by me are: conducted Facts / Missing info meetup1.0 - July 28, 2019 The meeting was held in Chennai. In the beginning I provided tutorial on how to find Facts and Missing info and how to update that informations. I treated this session like a competion meet. Participants were pleased that the meeting was enjoyable and knowledgeable.

In the supportive meet ups i ensured refreshing themes and ideas for the attendees to give them an opportunity to learn with joy. (Album)
Participants were given a pre-paid post card to inform their friends about the local guide event, which helped to improve the community.
It is my intention to hold such meetings across Tamil Nadu as there are fewer people in Tamil Nadu with the awareness about LG program.

Your contributions towards Local Guides community especially for Tamilnadu is extraordinary. When I was new to Local Guides Program, I get to know more about it from your contributions also. Thank you so much for inspiring me. Eagerly waiting to attend any upcoming Meetups of yours.

As rightly mentioned by our @SalmaanN , you have Groomed many LGs - even, I owe regards to you for your supports. I also appreciate your positive supports to our community.
Since I was present in the Google supported Meet Up, which was conducted on 8th December 2019, in Chennai, I can vouch that Planning was the key point of the success of the Meet-Ups - for that reason, any event will not be successful without proper planning.
Many of your Meet-Ups were fun-filled your innovative ideas - Games, which shared a lot of knowledge, with attendees.
At this point, I would love to remember some of our key members who supported us during planning and while execution of Google Supported Meet :
