Apart from sharing photos of new places I visit, I also share photos of my business products and services on Google maps. A picture is worth 1,000 words! So, they say. This is how a secured a project courtesy of a photo I posted on Google maps. The client had searched on Google maps using the query “survey companies in Nairobi.” My company Orbital Africa appeared on top of search results. The client was impressed with many photos related to the products and services we offer.
I got an e-mail from the client and told me that he had a survey and mapping project worth 50,000 dollars in a place called Meru town in Kenya that he wanted us to execute. The client concurred that there was a lot of professionalism portrayed when he explored our photos on Google maps. Some of the photos that I had posted on Google maps are found below. Sharing of photos on Google enables our clients discover the wide range of products and services we offer as well as get acquinted, develop confidence and assurance in my company.
So, apart from sharing photos on Google maps, I also contribute in providing reviews and adding photos to places that I often visit. I share the photos since I believe that by doing so, I’ll contribute to making my community get discovered by those who intend to visit there.
