Here I Go
Although there are many reasons I love sharing content regarding amazing places on Google Maps which I have talked about in my previous other posts, today I’m going to be stating one of the best things I believe I’ve helped people with. As I’ve already posted a picture up above traced to Karachi University which is usually referred to as KU here, its vastness can be slightly acknowledged and judged by the picture.
KU is one of the largest universities of Pakistan and unfortunately with improper management because of the vastness and the fact that it’s been spread over 1,279 acres with 24,000 students, there aren’t any proper boards or maps which can guide the applicants and even students to know where to go.
This is where I stepped in to help. As I was roaming around the premises, I was approached by many applicants and visitors as well as some students asking about various different departments, that’s where I said enough is enough. I decided that I’m going to visit each and every department (which I eventually did) and I’m going to take photos of the premises, talk to the staff and post pictures on maps with their precise location on the maps to help applicants, visitors or even students to find their respective departments.
Following are some of the photos I took during my journey to help people out. Check them out
It felt great, going to department by department, it helped me explore the whole massive premises while giving me the opportunity to meet the staff of each particular department and get some info regarding their purpose.
I went there again on the day after and there I was seen taking pictures of different departments by the students there. They asked me why I’ve been taking pictures around and then I introduced them to Google Maps and filled them in with all the info and they were astonished and very amazed as many of them didn’t even know that Google Maps exist. They applauded a lot for me and praised me for what I have had been doing and I certainly still am feeling very ecstatic and happy that I could be of any help to the people of Karachi.
Here are some more pictures that I took on the very next day
I love sharing whatever helps people whether it’d be about a restaurant, fun place or university as it earns me respect and pleasure and this is one of the very reasons why I love sharing stuff on Google Maps and why I feel proud of being one of the local guides members. It gives me joy and earns me respect as well as I feel inner peace as soon as I realize that whatever work I’ve done and whatever efforts I’ve made for the sake of people seems to be paying off. There are many many more reasons I love contributing to Google Maps about but to help others out is one of the most important reasons for me to carry my work out and keep it up.
To conclude these two amazing days I had exploring KU, one of the most eco-friendly places I’ve ever seen, I took many amazing pictures and here is one of the pictures of one of the most beautiful, serene, huge and oldest trees I’ve ever seen.
Thank you Google Maps for being a part of our lives and for being out there for the lost ones to find their destinies(I hope it wasn’t so philosophical). Thank you Local Guides I love you all
