Hello local guides,
Today I am writing this post because a few days ago I had gone to Karol Bagh for some work.And after the work was over I started taking photos of shops to put on Google maps. I was taking storefront photos of all the shops.

(These are some of the storefront photos I took that day)

Then while taking such photos, I saw a very beautiful home decor and showpieces shop, so I went there to take a storefront photo of that shop too.

Then when I was taking photos there, the shop owner came out and he asked me, Sir, tell me do you need anything? So I told them that actually I am a local guide of Google maps and I am taking photos so that I can put your photos of your shop location on Google maps So he said yes you take the photos and I have some work for you, then I took the photos and then he told me that his business is not on Google maps So can you help me add my business on Google maps? I said yes absolutely, then I added his shop on Google maps And I gave him the complete information and that shop got approval on Google maps in two minutes. Then I told him about Google my business profile. Then he asked me if I would like to have some tea, coffee or cold drink, then I said no, this is our volunteer work and we only help through this, I don’t need anything. He was also very happy that his shop will now get appear on Google maps

Overall that was a great experience for me by seeing shop owner gesture towards me

So I also took a photo with him

Great work done @PrinceKumar Helping small business owners and educating them about Google My Business is rewarding experience for us LGs. Commendable work.

I recall my first such experience. There is an amazing Chinese fast food corner in Kalkaji. Back in 2014, I got to know about Google My Business and explained all about it’s advantages to he restaurant owner. He was very excited and happy and consented to adding his business on Maps. His food van was an instant hit online with many people reviewing it and coming his place to try the delicious food.

I’m glad that you helped yet another small business owner.
