Towards the end of last year, I relocated to a new place in the breadth of Abuja. I got to know from the residents that the Estate is called Spring Valley Estate, but never has it occurred to me that there could be a spring at the end of it. The only visible things were the high-rising blocks arrayed beside a rocky hill and a gas station by the other end of the residence.
While being free from my busy work schedule on one early morning, I decided to go on mountain hiking with my friends. We explored the hill till we reached the peak of it- what a cool place to enjoy the natural breeze and have a nice visibility of places around. At the top of the hill, we discovered another beautiful Estate just adjacent the hill and towards it we began to navigate. We started descending the hill gradually to explore our new place of discovery, only to be prevented by another amazing discovery at the end of the elevation- behold, a water course separating the hill and the newly discovered estate. That was it! The Spring!! The Spring behind the Spring Valley!!! Just then did the name of my Estate re-occured to me and I realized why it was so named. This was an awesome discovery.
