The most interesting thing that I have done as a Local Guide was the discover that I recently made. I have found a new Country of Wine that is located in the State of California. All my friends and acquaintances who live in the United States and especially all those who live in Los Angeles area have heard about the City of Temecula but they did not know much about it. When I realized that people started asking me about the wineries, organic wines and social events in Temecula and Escondido, I decided to answer the majority of their questions by visiting Temecula and recording all popular and not a very known places to public. Upon my visits, I started uploading pictures of different wineries, showed how well-organized the process of wine tasting was and explained to the public that it was worth visiting and discovering new places and new people in Southern California. The majority of my friends and acquaintances who were socially drinking beer suddenly started drinking wine and some of them became “wine experts.”
I went to Temecula eleven times and planned to go there even more when suddenly I discovered that there was a similar Wine Country approximately one hour south from Sad Diego. I immediately started comparing California and Mexican wineries and how the wineries and wine tasting was organized on the both sides of the border. I wanted to discover if the place in Mexico was equally beautiful and friendly. I decided to visit Valle de Guadalupe because I found out that that region has risen to its prominence because of its unique climate, restaurants, bars, hotels and exclusive service. However, I think that my trip to Valle de Guadalupe needs to be told separately.
Nevertheless, I believe that being a local guide gave me desire and a unique opportunity to discover a new place and share my love and attraction with the help of my pictures that I am continuously taking and uploading to Google Maps.
