I love the way how Local Guide Community works form finding best spots in town to make new friends for this I would like to thank Local Guide Community from the bottom of my heart.
What I LIKE SHARING the most and WHY?
I love voluntarily sharing the information of those poor businessmen (Street food hawker, Restaurant or Daily Vegetable Market ) in my community by adding their unknown businesses, adding info’s like is it accessible for Physically Disabled person, sharing the reviews and adding Photos on Google Maps, to make them more popular among people, to give them global exposure through Google Maps so that they can earn a little extra money for their livelihood, and their children shouldn’t be deprived of education, as we all know poverty and education are inextricably linked. In many countries government provides free schools, but there are additional costs for uniforms, books and transportation, especially in rural areas, where a student have to travel way by public transport to school. The expenses becomes too much for a family to sustain, Leaving the family with no other option by sending their children to work or even marrying off a daughter at early age. So from my point of view I think Google Maps could be a better option for adding new places to reviewing the good businesses which are almost devoid of customers because their physical existence is not known to the people who were using Google Maps as a solution to their daily life problem.
Apart from these I love to teach people how to use Google Maps with zero computer knowledge, which nowadays is essential. They were so happy and grateful! I liked how businessman craved more and more knowledge about Google Maps. I also really enjoyed meeting new people from different backgrounds.
Road side Hawker to Enterprising Businessman: Power of Google Maps
Shop Name: Lal Chana Bhander, Rajgarh Road, Guwahati.
This is the example of how a road side hawker turned to enterprising Businessman and even employing people under him. Seven years of visiting this place. The taste is what makes it so special . Be it the simple Chana (Chickpea) mix or the Alu (Potato) chat to the Cheese wai – wai (Noodle), everything is made to give maximum taste. The food is served over the counter and relished in the adjacent area where wheelchair is accessible also. But I don’t think that anyone will complain about the ambiance out there. There are also a few chairs for the lucky one who might find them empty. “After adding my business on Google Maps there was a certain hike in customer visits, said owner. He also thanked Google Maps because all these wouldn’t have been possible without Google Maps.
