I started Sharing information on Google Maps with a passion for adding a place or adding a missing information about a place, it helps a lot of people in different and unexpected ways. My newly realized passion is to take it to new heights by sharing about Tourist attractions in my country Pakistan, specially my city Karachi.
Let me tell you how it all started and WHY I think that I care for this cause WHY I ought to continue…
Some time ago, very late at night,my little one, Maheen complained of pain in her ears, She couldn’t sleep, I wondered if there was any pharmacy nearby which is open late at this hour , or take her to our family phisician next morning, confused, not in a position to take quick decision, or go look for 24 hours pharmacy nearby myself, all of a sudden I realized, checked Google Maps, found 24 hour pharmacy very close to my house with a phone number, called found out they had those ear drops I needed and at what price , next 20 minutes I was back with ear drops and Maheen was asleep soundly in next 5 minutes. Job done. Thank you Google Maps, a million thanks to local guide who shared info on Maps about pharmacy’s name , add, phone number etc. That night I realized the impact and power of Google maps.
Google Maps helped me when I needed it most and that inspired me to be more active Google Local Guide. It also helps me to learn and Know more about my own people my community my city my country and my world.
This global connection of souls just to help others is a great Nobel idea. This is why it is very important for me to be part of this global community to help local and global community and feel proud to be part of this Nobel Cause.
