I’m trying to get the “New Contributor” badge, but I can’t get any points in the Answers section. Despite the fact that my overall statistics already includes many answeres (see attached pic). Are they not taken into account for this badge? Tell me why? And what kind of answers do you need? (give an example, please)

I think it’s was an bug or any issue from the Google i can give you an suggestion you can send an “Feedback” to the Google about.
Also i can’t say this confirmly an bug or issue it’s just my opinion & i am tagging a moderator & senior they can help you from this. @ErmesT @MortenCopenhagen
And also i suggest you to read this What Are The Connect Topics? It’s will be useful for you while posting new topics in the connect.

This is a quite strange issue, @Kirill2 , because the answers are immediately attributed in the badge.
Can you please check the version of the Google Maps App installed and the Operating System of your mobile?
Also clearing the cache can help, if there is some glitch

Google maps app version is 6.56.2 (latest) for iOS system (you can check it on picture below).
I also cleared cache and application data in GoogleMaps application as you offered on the same page (you also can find it on screenshot below).
May be you know how I can report this bug/glitch to google developers? Or what recommendation you can give me for now?

I am an beta tester for the app “Google Maps” and i have written a review/feedback to the developer’s on play Store (it’s not public it’s only visible to the developer’s) about this topic you can see what i send “I am a local guide member and some people are saying in the Local Guide Connect, fact check points are not adding including for me also. Also the satelite image update is very useful so please be alert on that. It’s will be easy to the local guides while adding roads or adding places or for old places to move (if that added wrong) to the correct place. This is my opinion or experience I hope the Google team was working on that work. Thank You.” this was that review i have sent to the developers also i have send an mail to the developers.

Still, it seems to me that what we are discussing is not a glitch. Because I just went to a random preson profile and he met the conditions (2 photos, 2 reviews, 2 answers) but also did not receive this badge.

Perhaps this is all the same, some specific answers? What is generally meant by answers? Sometimes I write a review about a restaurant, answer a few questions under the review and get statistics +4 answers (for example).
Perhaps there are other answers?

@Rakshi2 , I am not sure to understand what you say, and in which way what you wrote is related to this issue:
- If you are a beta tester (not a user of the public beta App, that is a totally different thing) you must have signed a NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) where you agree not to reveal that you are a beta tester. This is to prevent you from being pressured to disclose information that is not public
- A feedback to the team is intended to explain a technical issue that you are experiencing in the App, not a general experience that "many local guides are saying …). Don’t you believe the Googlers of the community reported the issue to the team of what is declared to be a known issue, reported by me in Connect several months ago?
- We have several thread in Connect about the upload of updated satellite images on Maps, and the related cost

This is probably my final attempt, because in reality this question does not affect my life as much as the time I have already spent on it. However, of course, I would still like to close it.
Immediately after @ErmesT recommendation on March 7, I wrote to technical support, but they do not answer at all. Alternatively, I’ve tried contacting them via the feedback on the maps, indicating “my review is not published”, but they give general answers in the style of “so the moderators saw fit” and do not even try to explain anything. Unfortunately. In general, technical support did not answer.
None of the experts have responded to this thread either, so I don’t really hope to get an answer here now that this thread is no longer up to date.
I just still think that these “Answers” mean something else, and not all of them are defended. Out of curiosity, I went into @ErmesT statistics and saw that for today he has 18690 Answers, while in the contributor badge - only 18603 Answers. Apparently, some of them do not fit. And I would like to know which ones.
In any case, if anyone has any information, I will be notified of new comments in this thread and hopefully in many years I will be able to find out what was really the reason.

Well, I know that difference too, and I reported in the past an issue about a mix between Answers and fact Checking, so maybe the problem is in there

Just to confirm, have you been contributing answers via the “Know this place?” banner that appears on some businesses on Maps? When you click on it, yes/no question cards pop up on the screen.
If you haven’t been sharing answers this way, please give it a try. After that, allow some time for the contribution numbers to get updated and please let me know if you got the New Contributor badge. Thank you!

How I can understand by my experience, the sum of ‘Answers’ increases when I review some restaurant (for example) and after that Google Maps ask me about dishes there (for example). Please find picture below:
Are these answers not the answers the badge needs?
I never have not seen the question “Know this place?” as you indicated.
Where I can meet this (for what business and in which part of the google maps interface)?
Under what conditions does it appear?

To find the “Know this place?” banner, please follow the steps in this Maps Help article. It may not be available for all businesses, but it looks like this:

The questions, or rather the choice options, that you are showing, with the text (beta) next to them in brackets, are a test version of how to improve the information in the reviews. For example, many restaurants offer different menus for lunch (more oriented towards workers) and dinner.
To answer your question, no, those are not the questions to count towards the answer count.
“Know this place” is a question that is normally asked in the App when you visit the profile of a business that you “should” know, because you have already contributed (e.g. with a photo or a review) or even because you have searched for the place in Google Maps.
The same question may appear if you search with Google for the business using Chrome browser, being logged IN with your account

I am having the same issue, it says to earn next bage I must answer two questions. I have answered more than 2 but it still shows 0/2 on the main page.
