I was browsing Reddit and saw a discussion about Local Guides socks that a person got for being a Local Guide. I saw users saying they’ve got stickers as well.
One user had commented saying they’re level 6 and have received stickers.
Another user commented saying they’re level 5 and have received the socks.
I’m level 6 and am yet to receive either of these - I was wondering if anyone had any information on how to get them as I do love my socks?

I come across this a lot on Local a Guides Facebook Group and I’m highly interested and receiving one too. Anyone with hints should enlighten us. Thanks

It appears there is nothing about perks on my page that Haseeb linked in his post so I guess I shan’t be eligible for any at any time. I guess I’ll be missing out on the opportunity to add more cool socks to my collection, haha.
@JamesAnderson I am also curious to know that. These socks perks seem to be new here. I guess this is only available in some countries. I think a Google Moderator may clarify this @InaS @MortenSI

@nkwetche Thankt you for sharing this. I have read these multiple times. I just want to are they sending these socks to worldwide LGs or to LGs of some specific countries?
@SaifIS , It seems like they’ll be for specific places - “perks may be offered to Local Guides in particular regions”

@JamesAnderson Not all perks are global. For example, you may get a perk of Uber rides only in your city. So I just want to know if it is a global perk or not.

The Local Guides program is constantly evolving. Perks may be offered from time to time. To maximize your chances of being eligible for a future perk opportunity, continue to add high quality contributions to Google Maps.
Please also be sure that your email preferences have perks emails enabled by visiting your Local Guides settings.
I am a level 6 local guide and i have not got any option to get socks perk
I got the lovely socks when I got 5 million photo views to my contributions. Hope that helps.
I got mine in April just as I reached level 5. Took about two weeks to arrive as it was sent from USA to UK.
I got the google local guides socks when i reached level 7,i didn’t receive anything apart from that , except that i got 6 month’s free google one application .

In case anyone’s still interested to know, I’m based in Australia and I’ve just reached Level 7 this month. I didn’t get any socks, but I did receive a AUD$7 Google Play audiobook discount via email. Although I’d also love a pair of Google Local Guides socks, I actually thought the $7 discount code was cool and provided better value for money (to me) compared to the socks. I love reading so I’ve already redeemed my $7 to buy an audio book that I’d wanted. Anyone else here received an audiobook discount code?
I just got the offer today, and I am a level 4! So I think its random, maybe depending on your percentage of the region.
hi, i’m from Indonesia, i just got an email from google maps telling that my contribution from last month unlocks special perks, so yeah i got a socks and i’m on level 5, i think they gave me because i’m doing edits and correction of some places i know, and start uploading more photo, maybe my photo is being voted as useful, i guess. That’s all information i got, kept up your contribution, guides
I got mine after reaching level 6 and posting photos from a place that hadn’t any before mine hope this helps
