Each city has its own way of quick and cheap transportation in the central business district. This is how it is done in my city at a cost of half a us dollar. Show us how its done in other cities around the world.

In my opinion, in India, in most of cities the fast & cheap is metro/local trains and where there is no metro/local train facility, it will be two wheeler.
