How do you provide feedback on localguidesconnect.com site itself

Is there a place or email where you can provide any feedback on localguidesconnect.com site itself?

Context: I have been accessing this site from Melbourne, Australia and I always notice how slow it is. Home page literally take 13-16 seconds to load. I thought it was my network but I ran some test outside of my home network and found the same issue.

In case you are interested, I used gtmetrix to measure site performance. Here are the reports for different cities:

Hi @sparekh

I think this is pretty well know that Connect is very slow especially while logging in.

In the section How-tos you can ask questions like you did. That is perfect.

If you have a concrete suggestion for a solution you can post it in Idea Exchange with the lable Connect.

But please remember to do a search first. There are several Ideas for having an app to replace Connect to improve the performance.

thanks @MortenCopenhagen . I do notice the slowness when logging in, but for some reason the whole site is a bit slow. The reports I attached points to potential underlying issues. I have tagged some moderators here in hope that they can shade some light on feedback process.

Please only tag one moderator. They are well coordinated.

I’m afraid your tagging is not perfect. You can’t paste moderator names. You need to type slowly and then select from the dropdown for it to work.

Also, please be aware that moderators often are reluctant to admit to weaknesses, and never can reveal news about future updates before they are released.

Slow loading of the connect site is a known issue.

The site utilizes some outsourced technology. Additionally, the current traffic because of Connect live application spree has slowed down that further.

However, here are a few measures which improve the performance drastically.

  1. On the phone, use a browser to open the site instead of PWA
  2. Periodic purging of browsing history & cookies helps in speed improvement.
  3. Use the lite mode (Also termed as data saver mode) of browser.
  4. Enable the predictive service in settings to load pages faster.
  5. Switch over to Google DNS
  6. There are many further solutions through the chrome://flags. However, I feel going to that extreme is unnecessary.

Thus, I do not face the slow loading problem on the 4G LTE network. Broadband performance would improve further.

For any site related feedback, creating a post here on connect is the best way to communicate with the moderators.
