How do you post in Announcements

Hi Google Connect,

How do you post in announcements? Is this the correct place? I would like to post my list and video.

@MagdaRautenbach Hi!

We can’t make any post on Accouncement Board/category. This is for officials use only. Local Guides team or Googlers can only use this board/category to make an official announcement to the worldwide Local Guides.

You can make your post using other categories based on your topics.

Just follow the screenshot -

As a Local Guide we can use these all category to write our post on connect axcept Announcement

For Example, You can use the Local Story category to share your Video and List on Connect.

Hello @MagdaRautenbach I never posted on that catergory, but remember each catergory represent what your post is about, you can not just post anywhere where you like to post, if you want to ask a question or to answer a question you can use How-To, about meetups you can use Meetups so on and so on. This is just an example, announcement is normally used by the officials which may be Googlers or moderators to announce important information to us all. I hope this answers your question. Thank you.

@MagdaRautenbach we were never told to post our application videos here and the list we created, we were suppose to share links of them to the online application form for Connect Live 2019, on local stories that is where we were sharing the story we used when applying. Use each catergory for its inttended purpose.

Announcement is reserved for Official communication from Google

Local Guides can post on the General Board, indicating the topic of the post, as shown by @ShafiulB

What are Connect topics? will help you to understand what are the topics of the community.

We can also post an entry on Idea Exchange, if we have an idea to share to Google: How do I use the Idea Exchange and what happens to my ideas?

The Local Guides have been invited to share, if they like, their list in a reply to this post: Connect Live 2019 applications are now closed

About your video, in my opinion the best choice would be to add it on your application post, on a reply
