How do you photograph flowers?

I prefer my Google Pixel 2 over my Canon 80D…seriously ?

I like to get up close.

I like to focus on one thing sometimes.

I use portrait mode a lot.

I enjoy vibrant flower colors.

I LOVE it when a bee or a bug lands on the flower and gives me an even better focal point.

Water beads are great to photograph.

Leave me a comment and let me know how you photograph flowers.

Have a blessed and colorful day!

Dear @SherieL24 ,

Thanks for sharing these excellent photos. I really love them. But for a simple suggestion please don’t use the portrait mood for the close-up shots. As the pixel already have a shallow depth of field it will give you a background bokeh for close-up shots.

You seem to have a good photography experience. What editing software do you use for that purpose?

Dear @imran1986

Thank you for the nice comments!

I still use the portrait mode, because I like to choose which photo I like best. Since the Pixel gives you the regular picture and the blurred one.

I try to get my photo as close to what I like before I take it. I use angle, sun position and the adjustment on my google camera to get it just right. I then use the Google Pixel edit options if I want to lighten it up, take out some redness and punch up the color a bit. I have also used PicsArt for some things, but generally it is very true to what I took in the first place. I am a natural light photographer so I do not like to edit too much.
