How do the benefits work?

Hello, I’m relatively “new” to this local guide stuff, so please apologize if my question is stupid

I like writing reviews on Maps and collecting points to level up (i just like leveling up stuff :D). But i recently found out, that there are benefits for each level. Now to my question: what benefits and how do they work? Do i get an email with all the info? I’m a little bit confused so I’d like to ask someone who has more insight in this whole thing

Thank you in advance fellow guides

Regarding benefits, “Perks are offered to Local Guides from time to time as a thank you for contributing great content on Google Maps. You may receive a perk because you’ve consistently shared high-quality contributions, reached a certain level, or often review a category related to a perk. Perks may be offered to Local Guides in particular regions.

Welcome aboard @WowiKarowi ! To answer your question, hopefully, when you have earned or achieved a certain level, you will be alerted via email; that email will instruct you on how to go about redeeming said reward. Hope that helps and welcome again!
