Hi Everyone!
For months now I’ve been trying to fix a road, in which the traffic direction has changed due to constructions works. Ive submitted this suggestions 6 times and none of them have been applies because “Google couldnt verify your edit”:
Because there is no option to add a photo, I have no way to prove my suggestion, and for months now Google maps gives the wrong navigation directions because of that.
Google “knows” how many map edits I have submitted so far (that have been approved) and how many people have found my reviews helpful etc - so why google doesn’t “trust” a local guide to submit the correct info and doesnt apply the suggestion? I found this to be very frustrating and it doesnt really help my will to suggest new edits.
-
Does anyone know if there is a way to submit a feedback for a road with a photo? perhaps under a different category of suggestion?
-
Googlers: are there any plans to add this feature (of photos as proof) for map edits? If not, how can I submit this feature request?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Such data issues are better dealt with in the Maps support forum.
There you can (and should) upload all the documentation you have.

Just for the sake of documenting - the “help” I got from the Maps Support Forum was horrible.
Apparently, it is my fault for:
- not choosing the correct category (there wasn’t a correct one to begin with)
- accidently misspelling the name of the street by 1 letter (it’s not even mandatory to write it, simply choose it on the map itself - which I did)
- not knowing I needed to create a shared folder on google drive of Photos with proof of the feedback I wanted to suggest, and pasting it to the note during the edit process.
Here’s the thread from the forum:

This really makes me wonder why I even bother fighting about this. Yes, I want people to get CORRECT information and navigation instructions, but not on the expense of my own sanity. It’s like fighting windmills and after 7 (!) times submitting the same thing - I’m now giving up.
I don’t know if any Googlers read this, but I would seriously suggest improving the “fix a road” process.
