How do I locate and connect with local guides in Des Moines, Iowa?

Hello!

I searched for some of the cities in Iowa and unfortunately, there were no meet ups or anything! Wanting to connect with guides in Iowa and not sure where else to go in order to do so!

In this case, you can search in Connect using the name of cities to find other local guides in your area. See this link, here I have searched with Iowa and found few posts who might be from Iowa. So you can use this method.

And as a reminder, do you know that you can host your own meet-up if you do not find any meet-up in your area?

Thank you! I did search the connect using the major cities in Iowa such as Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Iowa City and nothing came of it. All the posts I noticed were posts from either 2018 or 2017 mentioning Iowa, so I would think they would still have to be out there somewhere! : )

I did see the option of a hosting my own meet up, just a little apprehensive as I am not very experienced as of yet, but I guess that’s the point right? I will give that a try is nothing else surfaces in a week or so. Any ideas that you have yourself or someone you know have done for a fun host meet up?

@MissB085 Yes, by searching with cities you will find people who posted these threads and you may contact them via private message.

Yes, it is apprehensive for the first meet-up. I have hosted my first meetup recently. You can read about it here.

The meet-ups section of the community is related more to meet-ups and invitations which the Local Guides are sharing on Connect. I’m going to move your post there by changing the label.
