Before the closing of Google Plus , i used have a baground image set in the G+ page and that background image used to show as my background image in Maps my contribution tab , but now since it is closed the background is gone , is there any way possible that i can actually add a background image to maps my contributions tab ?
if yes please guide me .
The red marked area used be my old background and now it is not there , i actually want to add one there .
Hi @NarenChandra here on Google map we can not add background photo or colour, I do have a blue background colour on my profile but I do not know how it got there, see my screen short:

If there is any way to get the background changed it Will be cool , because with the blue background it is hard to see the points. @Raphael-Mahumane
I have noticed that the link “aboutme.google.com” allows uploading photos for a) the background and b) for the round badge. That may provide the desired alteration.
Though I did not try that, I came across an informational website displaying changes in both the pictures.

I am facing that same issue @NarenChandra (blue background) and tried uploading a new image on the page @C_T mentioned a couple of days ago already. It then said ‘it can take a while before this is visible everywhere’, but so far it still does not show up on my LG profile. It might be a general issue, I guess.
@JanVanHaver yes , it is very hard to actually see the points with that blue background. May be if someone from the google team gets through this post they can help .

Hi @NarenChandra , thank you for reaching out to us. There is no such possibility to add a background photo on your Google Maps profile now. I would like to recommend you to suggest this as an idea in our Idea Exchange board.

It’s a pity this option was removed @Ivi_Ge , as the background pic used to be simply the one you selected on your Google profile (until a couple of weeks ago).
Yes @JanVanHaver and @Ivi_Ge if we had the option to choose , it would be great . The blue screen doesn’t look good.
