How can we stop wrong information post?

Hello everyone.

Its big problem, when someone just check google maps for some place on his/her busy schedule, got wrong information and went to wrong place. Its not google fault, Its lack of awareness or something to local guides who just post with whatever intention. How can we minimize those mistake? I am also the victim once.

Also, I have concern If a person/company use Google logo on there brand name. How can we put the suggestion/complaints for same?

Welcome to Local Guides Connect.

For Google Maps, if you see any place on Wrong location on Google maps, or any wrong information about the place, there is a option. You can flag or Report these wrong information. That is the best way to correct any thing on Google maps.

when driving using maps at the end of your destination some page will show asking if this is the right place or not …?

I think reporting every wrong information is the best way to prevent them

Thanks for your concerns about adding accurate information on Google Maps.

I would like to advise you to report such wrong details about roads by using the option - Report an error on Google Maps.

Apart from that, as you know the Local Guides program is for volunteers and we hope that the reviews and the locations added on Google Maps would be as accurate as possible. This is how we as Local Guides help the people around us to have better orientation or to make a decision for visitng a place or not.

If a Local Guide is using the Google logo for personal or business purposes, please make sure you tag a Google Moderator to report it, as this is not allowed according to the program rules. Make sure you do not share their profiles on Connect.
