I was wondering if theres a way to use our smartphones to capture 360 images without using a separate 360 camera connecting to the phone

Yes, we can take 360 photos using our phone without an external 360 camera. Use Google Street View app to capture 360. This requires a bit of practice to get good 360 photos.

Hi @MuhammadAI , Yes there is a way using the Google street view App, as I also came to understand on one other local guide connect posts.

I have downloaded the App and plan to try it soon…Let’s see…

Hi @MuhammadAI without using external camera, you will need Street view app as others have said it, use the following link with a video showing how others does it, you are advised to set your location on on your smartphone so that it can detect the address of where it was taken, after that you can check if the photo was captured the way you want it

Normally there will be a mismatch of photos causing some of the objects to appear on the incorrect location, have as many tries as you can until you have the best photo, once you are satisfied with your photo you can edit it by applying bluing to human faces, vehicles registrations, things that you do not want to be seen which may be private or sensitive, do not apply too much bluing, and then you can edit location move it around to be precise on location, and turn your photo to look where you want others to focus on as the landing page when they view your 360 photo. You can expect to see images like this @MuhammadAI , that is why you should choose a day where there is enough sunlight to make it stunning and bright, objects are not on their correct locations. I hope you will avoid this, thanks.

For taking 360 photos with a phone you need the Street View App, as indicated by @SaifIS , and a phone with a gyroscope
