How can I set the latest Street View Imagery as default Street View Imagery?

Recently I updated the Street View Imagery of a road in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka on a request made by a newly started business.

The 360 video file I uploaded was processed in less than 24 hours. But when I visited the road, I updated and checked the Street View Imagery, it shows 2015 imagery. Then I saw a link at the bottom, the “See more dates” link, and when I clicked on it, I could see the newly added imagery by me. Please see the image above.

From 2015 to 2022, the road has changed a lot. I think it is better to have the latest Street View Imagery by default. Is it possible to pass this message on to the Street View team @Kristen_NYC ?

What do you think @ErmesT @MahabubMunna @AdrianLunsong ?

Hi @AnuradhaP

I want to inform you that Street View is no longer supported in Local Guides Connect.

You should check on the new Street View trusted Help Center, accessible to Trusted Photographers only

Should you be not able to access the new Street View trusted Help Center, please let us know, and we will tag a Google Moderator for granting the access to your profile.

High quality contributors on Street View (street contributions) can ask for an 1 to 1 support

However, Google is prioritizing the image displayed in the blue line by a series of factor, and the first one is the Quality of the image. If the Older image is at higher quality it will probably be displayed by default.

Of course it is possible to report a street view image, but there isn’t an option for “old image”

@ErmesT Thank you. I must learn more about the Local Guides Connect from scratch. Lots of things have changed.

I am a Trusted Photographer, and I will raise my question on Street View Trusted Help Center.
