How can i set a location to Opening soon?

Hello guys .

There is a very famous Coffeshop in my city and the peoples come to the coffee from a different cities , Yup it is that famous .!

Well in the second floor they are working to open one of the best restaurants in the country ! And it could be one of the best worldwide !!

I know the owner personally and he told me he will open the restaurant very soon within tow or three months top , So I tried to make a new location to set it up and finish the confirmations before opening .

While setting the location it asked me about the opening date and couldn’t set any day in future , the only choice I got is “already open” and I can choose the date in the past only (before tody).

So, what can I do to change the choice from “already open” to “opening soon”?

When I got that problems I cancelled the settings and didn’t set a new location until the problem is solved.

I think we cannot do that, @Techavior . Because when we add new place on Google Maps, if I’m not mistaken, it’s only a suggestion to Google to add a place that weren’t listed on Google Maps yet.

So Google could approve or reject our adding new place.

In my opinion, just try to add that new place on Google Maps, @Techavior , and tell the real owner to claim it as business. And then the owner could post on that place that stated that the place would be opening soon.

I don’t believe there’s a way to do that yet @Techavior . I do understand what you’re trying to do though. A few times I pass by restaurants that says ‘opening soon’, but I need to wait until they’re actually open before adding info on Maps. Most of the time I just forget.

In regards to your question, I would like to let you know there is no such option at the moemtn, however you can share your idea about having an option to add a location which is opening soon in the Idea Exchange board if you haven’t done that already. Thank you.
