How can I delete this? I created the post by mistake and now I want to delete it. There is no such option as delete

Thanks for wanting to improve Google Maps where you live.

You may want to check if the listing is claimed. That makes it a lot harder to remove.

If you share the link to the place we can try to give you more tips.

Normally I get places removed in minutes after submitting such an edit.

Please read Why is my edit status “Pending” or “Not Applied”? if you haven’t already done so.

I just replied to your request for help to delete a local kiosk in a privat home.

And now you changed the content of your post making my reply look completely odd and out of context.

That is excately why you can not just remove your posts. Please consider that replies are for you but certainly also for other local guides with the same or similar issues.

Commenting on some existing post inadvertently does happen sometimes.

You can edit that comment and write a message to ignore that.

However, for the creation of a new post needs one to execute one more step. That is, select the topic once again, even if you have done so beforehand.

Nevertheless, you will find information on why it’s not possible to delete a post, in these two answers.

Further, if you have created a post unintentionally and do not wish to have that visible, you can tag a moderator and request to move that post to the offtopic archives.
