Hello @SPEEDO

Are you want to make list public or private?

For making lists 1st open the maps then go to “Saved” scroll down & look for “New List” click on it you can see there option “Private or Public” select which do you want & you can add description for that and finally click on “Save”

I think your post will nice in “How - To” not in achievements. (If it’s nice place you think please change the post to “How-To”)

If my message is not helpful please be patience for the response from the Moderators/Senior’s

Thank You, Keep Contributing! All the best.

Hi @SPEEDO

Here is the help text on creating lists: https://support.google.com/maps/answer/7280933

Note, that not all features are available on all platforms. You may want to use both mobile and desktop if you want to make a lot of lists. Also, adding more than 3-400 places to one list can cause problems.

Hallo @SPEEDO

Please follow the indications given by @MortenCopenhagen about creating a list in Google Maps. Even if it is correct that a list can be created both on mobile and desktop, I prefer to complete my lists on mobile, because in there you have the needed options to make your list available for being featured in Google Maps.

But please also let me add a note: as you want to create a list about places that are accessible with a wheelchair, it would be more helpful to add the accessibility information in Google Maps.

In fact, on the accessibility settings of the user’s profile, it is possible to select the option for showing if a place have wheelchair accessible features.

Adding the accessibility features in Maps is easy, and it can be done in every listing in Google Maps.

Once edited, the wheelchair symbol will appear near the name of the listing

In this way you will add a more efficient information

Hello @SPEEDO

I think your problem was solved by the Moderator & senior.

I have visited your profile and i have seen your photos that every photo is similar (same) why? Are you doing as local guide for the points? You have added just one place photo only from front side four photo’s what is the use by adding duplicate photos increasing points purpose only? Please do local guide for the helping not for points. Adding duplicate photos is against for the Community Policy

To protect your account remove the duplicate photos check all the photo’s what you have added you can only understand. Once try like a “Good Local Guide” adding just 1 photo with the owner permission it’s was the best sacrifice for you.

If you want tips for adding high quality photos you can check this Tips For Contributing High Quality Review’s & Photos

@ErmesT @MortenCopenhagen Sorry for the Mention I think he can’t listen my words so please explain him.

Thank You, Keep Contributing! All the best.

This is not correct. We can add more than one photo and we do not nessesarily need permission from the owner. There are recommendations but no Google guidelines on these aspects.

Hi @SPEEDO ,

I see you got great replies and tips to your query.

I just want to let you know that I will change the topic of your post to How-tos to keep Connect organized. This is the place where you can ask questions, share tips and feedback about Connect and the Local Guides program.

I will also edit the title of your post so it corresponds to the text in it and be easier understandable when other Local Guides click on it.

  1. Whenever you save a place, your options will appear. If it doesn’t appear, you haven’t created a list yet, but it’s easy. You can name groups.

Hello Sir @MortenCopenhagen

I think you have misunderstood me also my mistake also i have forgotten to mention 1 photo or more then one photo by talking with the owner.

Also the permission taking is can’t required for the government areas like not all only which places are for public of that government place example :- hospital’s, school’s (empty school take the photos while no students available), police station (take a risk while taking the photos if any police officer saw you then explain them why you are taken the photos also show your maps local guide profile) etc…

Some private places also we can take the photos without permission we need to think for what place we don’t need to take permission.

@Rakshi2

I think is important always to make clear what are recommendations/good ideas and what are against the guidelines issued by Google.

Also, keep in mind that there are very different national and local regulations related to where we can take photos with or without obtaining permissions. So what might be true in India can easily not be correct in other cultures.

All the best

Sir once check the photos of @SPEEDO i can’t understanding what he thinking he was doing as local guide for help the people are to get points i have already mentioned him but he can’t seeing the message i think. Also sir what we can do if he not listen to us he will only become former local guide member… He only not have caring on his account to protect it then what can we do. If he remove the similar photos it’s will nice to him if he not removed it we know what will happen.

Thank you @Rakshi2 , I appreciate your contribution

Thank you @Saiyen . Am Just trying my best

Thank you @ErmesT You have been really helpful. Your contribution is very clear and simple to follow. I really appreciate. Sorry for the late response, I had a new Job posting which required me to be moving most of the time. So i hardly had time to reply comments. God bless you and thank you for your continued support

@Rakshi2 Thank you for your observations. I don’t upload the pictures for point. I try to add more picture of a place to for clarity- there are places i try to capture a building or business from different angles (I thought it would be helpful) and also as an update when i see changes to the business or place. Per your suggestion, i will revisit the policy. Thank you

@Rakshi2 I concentrate more on adding new places and photos of places on the map and also making edit of wrong markers of a place. Irrespective of my progress and point, i am new to been a Local guide and i am open to corrections and assistance from anyone. I did not ignore your comment, I just have not been chanced to respond due to some unforseen circumstances

@MortenCopenhagen Thank you for the assist.

@MortenCopenhagen I will try out these steps and give you feedback. With your permission, I will reach out to you via the comment session if i face any challenges

Thank you for your time and patience. You must be a teacher from the way to state your points, easy to follow and understand :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@ErmesT Thank you sir. I will try. I really appreciate this medium of communication. I have learnt alot of new things beside adding places and uploading pictures… As Ralph Waldo Emerson clearly states, There is really no knowledge that is not power
