Hi there everyone
Hoping for some assistance or info please as to how and where I can increase stats on my profile pertaining to Questions and/or Blogs and/or Contests and/or Reviews. Please see the image example in this post.
I was under the impression the Reviews as well as Questions we post on Google Maps or ask/answer are the same reviews listed in our profiles but apparently not as I have posted 130-odd (I don’t have the exact number on hand at the moment) as well as answered questions for other users but nothing is linked.
Will appreciate any feedback on the matter. I learn new features on the forum as well as with Google daily so there may just be a few features I’ve overlooked but yea, keen to learn.

Hi @LeeBee-SA thank you for pointing this out, there are things which require some explanation here since this platform has been re-designed, beside that we are new here and it will be best to understand most of the mostly used features. I do not have an answer to your question but i would like to know too. I have been looking on my profile from the statistics appearing there but could not understand those you mentioned, I will wait for the official reply from the local guide team or anyone to help us. Thank you.

Thanks for your feedback. At least I know there’s another with the same or similar queries.
Hopefully we are met with an answer soon so we can further enhance our and other’s Connect and Maps experience.

@LeeBee-SA yes, hopefully someone will come in and help. Did you manage to get your signature working for your local guide connect profile, to add your YouTube channel link and others?

@Raphael-Mahumane I haven’t had a chance to sit down with it since I posted. I’ve actually out time aside for tomorrow morning to do it as well as look into a few other new features from Maps so I’ll let you know afterward.

@LeeBee-SA I am happy that you are loving the video, I made it longer to include all the small important details.
For the signature is hard to choose as there are a lot of methods used by local guides here, which is photo links, or text links. if you prefer what I have which is text links and a flag may be, I can show you that, by creating a tutorial and share it here for everyone to access it. If you have decided let me know. Thanks.

I’d appreciate a tutorial regardless @Raphael-Mahumane as I’m sure it will be able to help others who may be confused like I am at the moment.
I’ll go through the other methods mentioned anyway tomorrow but yea, I also quite like your South African flag so if there’s an option to also have one waving proudly with my signature is love to showcase it along with yours

@LeeBee-SA for this forum, Google is using an external software for forums by a company called Lithium. This software probably has some options which are not used on this particular Connect forum or are not available for regular users. The result is that the counters relating to those features will always remain at 0 for all users.
That is at least my interpretation

I’ll make a separate post if need be but was wondering if possible to address directly here - I’ve noticed I added a place to Maps a few days back and it was approved but in my Contributions on Maps it hasn’t updated at all.
Would you by any chance know why?
@LeeBee-SA did you receive a confirmation email for adding the POI?
And I have also experienced that it can take multiple days before everything is synched in a way that it shows up everywhere.

@JanVanHaver Yea I received the confirmation email. It has been about a week already.
I’ll wait a bit longer and check in again a week or 2 later.
