Lockheart Castle is a genuine historic castle that was relocated and restored from Scotland, England.
According to history, King Robert the Bruce was a highly revered Scottish hero and had his faithful ally knight Simon Rockard, the ancestor of the Lockhart family, who gained Scottish independence and remained in history, serving King Robert.
King Robert died on June 7, 1329, and his will in his will was that his heart be buried in the Christian shrine of Valestina, and it was Simon Rockard, the ancestor of the Rockhart family, who received the order and enforced it. Rockard placed the king’s heart in a “locked box” during the fierce battle of the Crusades.And he dedicated his heart to the Melrose Temple in Scotland. From there, a heart-shaped figure surrounded by a key was added to the Rockard family crest, and in his honor the name was changed to Lockheart.

In the castle’s library, there is a large collection of literary works.
It is one of the best “castle libraries” in Japan, containing the first edition of the British literary master “Sir Walter Scott” related to Lockheart Castle and 1,000 books about the castle.The location is also the location for filming dramas.
